Space Opera
_

These are a series of book covers for Gollancz publishing's Space Opera series. Each title is given a symbol that relates back to the story. These symbols are then rotated and repeated to create the main illustrations.

Otokoyama Sake
_

The aim of this project was to produce a simple range of sake aimed at a western audience. To produce the different grades of sake the rice grain is polished to remove the proteins and oils from its exterior. The more the rice is polished the better the outcome. This process of refinement is high-lighted through the decreasing opacity of the bottles.
Black & White
_

My intention with this project was to create a bicycle brand that focused on the bike as a simple and convenient mode of transport, nothing more and nothing less.

Tess Hurrell
_

Business cards for photographer Tess Hurrell. Each screen printed sleeve contains a small sample of the artist's work. Designed with Studio Special whilst on placement.
Uneeka
_

This is branding for the fairtrade retailer Uneeka. The identity is based around a play on the word 'just', meaning 'fair' rather than 'only'. As retailers often claim that their products are special, more than 'just' products, I thought this made for an interesting reversal.

The Woods
_

The woods have always had an important role in British history and culture. In this project I aimed to produce guide book that focused on some of the stories surrounding the woods.
